She is genuine, passionate, professional, a pleasure to work with, a rarity in the online learning world
Ten minutes on the phone with Maria was enough to convince me that I needed her help to get my course on financial independence out of my head and into the world in the form of a fabulous learning experience.
I've worked with her for over 24 (coaching) hours now and she is far and away the best investment I have ever made in my business. She's THE expert for all things learning (including online courses) but she's also part business coach, part marketing copy expert, part personal cheerleader - and highly competent in all those areas and too many more areas to list. People like Maria are very rare in the online learning world. She is genuine, passionate, professional, a pleasure to work with and now I can't imagine working without her. When I'm ready to make my next round of training, Maria will be the first personal I consult.
Thank you Maria, I feel blessed to have met you and I'm excited about the real change we will be creating together for years to come.

Foundations: Product Development
Know you need to create group learning products so you can leverage your time?
Need to confirm yourself as the go-to expert in your niche, with a range of online learning resources?
Ready to create needs based training that exceeds expectations?
Want to get it right the first time?
If the answer is yes, then let me explain why the
'Product Development' stage of Learning Resources Development is ESSENTIAL...
(Otherwise, you may be on the wrong page because it sounds like reinventing the wheel for every client, scrambling to find the most updated resources every time you have to train someone, knowing your learning resources don't reflect the kind of professional you are, and driving yourself round the bend trying to figure it all out yourself are favourite pass-times of yours....)
What specifically is included in this course?
There is an introductory lesson (which is free below, no sign up required!), followed by 3 full lessons complete with tutorials, matching podcasts and worksheets. There is also a bonus guest interview with a copywriter.

Find out exactly whether you need each one, and follow specific links to the pre-reading materials which will give you a sneak peak into each of the lessons. If your interest isn't piqued by the introductory module embedded below, this course may not be for you!
You will learn how to...
(click on each lesson for more information)
Introduction: recognise the (avoidable) pitfalls associated with not creating a needs based, client centred resource that has clear expectations (you can access this lesson free, no sign up required, further down the page. If the Introduction doesn't 'grab' you, this course may not be for you!).
Lesson 1: get inside your clients' heads and plan for their needs, by incorporating their specific circumstances.
Lesson 2: design content that will appeal to the broadest range of clients, by catering for various learning styles and multiple intelligences.
Lesson 3: design a learning experience that sets clear expectations, and minimises refund requests and complaints.
Lesson 4: communicate with your clients in language that resonates with them specifically.
Do you really need to be Developing Outcomes Based Products?
Outcomes based product development is about creating products that work so well, that your clients go away raving about the success they've had working with you. It's all about knowing the NEEDS of your clients, how they are best going to DIGEST, LEARN and APPLY that information, and then designing a product or service that seriously gets results.
If you don't do this?
In a nutshell, they'll be telling others about you for all the wrong reasons! When you fail to really identify your client needs, the different ways people learn, and the exact expectations around the full user experience, you open yourself up to refund requests, mismatched expectations and a minefield of 'but I thought I was getting X' type complaints.
My advice?
Be prepared. Be prepared to create a learning experience that gets raving reviews, touts you as a life changing expert and truly changes lives. Plan it properly and get it right the first time.

I would highly recommend... an absolute pleasure to work with
What a Sensational Session!!!
Maria presented an empowering session on “Presentations that Engage, Inspire and Motivate” to both my HR team and National Operational leaders. The value was unanimous and all participants, including myself, were impressed with the delivery, structure and excitement created by Maria. All participants regularly develop and deliver presentations on a day-to-day basis and at the end of this session, all participants were able to identify a number of opportunities to improve and enhance the quality of training and presentations being delivered within the business.
So if you need to re-energise and empower your HR team or Business leaders to become better presenters, even if they have been doing it for years, then I would highly recommend Maria and this workshop.
Thank you Maria for being so effective in your delivery and an absolute pleasure to work with – I will certainly look forward to booking you again.

Foundations: Curriculum Development
Do you know how to transfer your content into the perfect group learning experience?
Have you GOT a BUCKETLOAD of content, and the thought of systemising it sends you into a bit of a blind panic?
Do you know you've got good content, but that it really needs some structure, better outcomes and stronger activities to make it a more robust learning experience?
Are you ready to take content you know is GOOD, and turn it into something that gives your clients an extraordinary learning experience?
Does the thought of doing this on your own make you feel overwhelmed, confused and out of your depth?
If the answer to any of these questions is yes, then let me explain why the
'Curriculum Development' stage of Learning Resources Development is CRITICAL for YOU and your LEARNERS...
(Otherwise, there's a fair chance your content will be all over the place, and not follow a solid system which includes things like the language and structure needed to help your learners understand WHY they should be engaging with your content, or how to apply what they've learnt immediately...ultimately that leads to confused, bored or unmotivated learners - and no-one wants that do they?)
What specifically is included in this course?
In this course there is an introductory lesson (which is free below, no sign up required!), followed by 3 full lessons complete with tutorials, matching podcasts and worksheets. There is also a bonus guest interview with an efficiency expert.

Find out exactly whether you need each one, and follow specific links to the pre-reading materials which will give you a sneak peak into each of the lessons. If your interest isn't piqued by the introductory module embedded below, this course may not be for you!
You will learn how to...
(click on each lesson for more information)
Introduction: recognise the perils of creating learning resources that are not outcomes based, scaffolded or well structured (you can access this lesson free, no sign up required, further down the page. If the Introduction doesn't 'grab' you, this course may not be for you!)
Curriculum Development 101: gain the knowledge required to structure needs-based, outcomes-driven learning experiences that get results and start to understand how to scaffold the learning journey and plan course content and materials.
Lesson 1: create discrete modules of learning that have client centred, realistic goals to work towards.
Lesson 2: layer the learning experience, so that your clients can immediately use their new knowledge.
Lesson 3: stay organised, on track and sane during the content planning, creating, delivering and reviewing phases.
Lesson 4: ensure efficiency and productivity in your business.
Why is it beneficial to be consistent when developing your curriculum and resources?
So many clients come to me in confusion and overwhelm because they have created so much content, but have no idea how it all fits together, no idea where anything is, their filing system is an endless rabbit warren of duplicate information and they've totally lost the love with it. All of it. All that hard work, and they've created themselves a monster. Don't do this to yourself.
Forget feeling overwhelmed, confused and out of your depth.
Create a system that will keep you organised, and will give you a complete picture of your content, your resources and the marketing language you'll need to pitch it to your ideal clients. It will also help you scaffold your learning journey into one that is outcomes based, organised, logically sequenced so that your clients are building on their new knowledge and skills, and YOU are staying organised and working efficiently.
The final task in this course, is to start your Content and Task Planner - the overview document that summarises all your content, resources and marketing language, and keeps you focused, on track and organised. Yes, such a document exists, and it's fully demonstrated and explained in this short course, an introduction to effective Curriculum Development.
If you don't have a systemised approach to creating content?
There's a fair chance your content will be all over the place, and not follow a solid system which includes things like the language and structure needed to help them understand WHY they should be engaging with your content, or how to apply it immediately. When that happens, they'll either not be motivated to stay switched on, or it'll go in the folder of 'learnings' they've never done anything with. You'd prefer them to use it, benefit from it, then tell everyone about how their lives have changed because of it right?

She has an uncanny knack of helping your brain make sense of a tonne of information
Maria has this uncanny knack of helping your brain make sense of a tonne of information. The time I spent in her group workshop was just what I needed to re-set my systemisation skills and help me continue to pull together all the stuff inside my head into a usable format. Maria is the person to go to help you get your ducks in a row so that you’re ready to chunk and package your know-how into something that works. Plus, she is great fun to work with and is so generous with her help and support. Thanks Maria.

Foundations: Delivery Skills
Do you know how to keep your audience engaged?
Do you want to inspire and motivate your clients to get the outcomes you know they're capable of?

Are you lacking confidence in your delivery techniques?
Do you want to make sure your clients are interacting with you and your content and taking action thanks to what they've learnt?
If the answer is yes, then let me explain why the
'Delivery Skills' stage of Learning Resources Development is NECESSARY when creating your lessons...
(Otherwise, there's a fair chance you'll end up being that presenter who makes everyone fall asleep, snigger under their breath or walk away warning others not to waste their time with you....)

Introduction: recognise the likely (and most definitely undesired) impact on your reputation when your presentations are lacking a motivating structure, demonstrative visual aids and engaging delivery skills (you can access this lesson free, no sign up required, further down the page. If the Introduction doesn't 'grab' you, this course may not be for you!).
Lesson 1: pique your clients interest and hold their attention right to the end of your presentation.
Lesson 2: avoid death by PowerPoint by creating visual aids that enhance your presentations.
Lesson 3: ensure your clients are interacting with you, and asking questions and engaging with the tasks you set.
Lesson 4: enhance user experience through good information and document design.
You're an expert in your field - so do you really need to worry about what kind of presenter you are?
Well, no one wants to be the Dander 500 guy, now do they (watch the video to see what I mean - at least you know you'll get a giggle!)? The presenter who makes everyone fall asleep, snigger under their breath or walk away warning others not to waste their time with you... this short course is going to show you how to avoid being that presenter. Video used with permission from the gorgeous guys at brainrules.net.

In this short course we're going to discuss how to create and deliver content that engages, inspires and motivates your clients. The introductory module is an overview of why it's not just about having a killer personality when it comes to delivering a presentation that knocks your audience's socks off.
If you're not engaging your audience?
Your content won't be having the impact you know it can have, and there's a fair chance they'll drift off, start creating a mental shopping list, and leave disappointed. Not an ideal way to get raving reviews. Right?

Foundations: Continuous Improvement
Do you want to get better at delivering your content every time you deliver it?
Do you ask for feedback, but rarely get anyone actually sending it in?
If you do get feedback, is it similar to every other piece of feedback you have ever received?
Are you stuck in your ways, and tend to recycle the same content over and over?
If the answer to any of these questions is yes, then let me explain why the
'Continuous Improvement' stage of Learning Resources Development is what will put the HEARTBEAT back into your work...
(Otherwise, there's a fair chance your content will not only bore you, but your students as well, you'll be known as that presenter who is STILL delivering that 'same old' content, and you won't receive or know how to implement stella feedback which you can GROW and LEARN from....)
What specifically is included in this course?
There is an introductory lesson (which is free below, no sign up required!), followed by 3 full lessons. Lessons 4.2 and 4.3 DO NOT have video tutorials, and there's a very good reason for that which you'll find out in the first lesson. There is also a bonus guest interview with an expert on evaluation and review in adult education.

Introduction: recognise why getting feedback, knowing how to deal with it, and reflecting on each delivery will make you into the kind of presenter people remember for all the right reasons. (you can access this lesson free, no sign up required, further down the page. If the Introduction doesn't 'grab' you, this course may not be for you!)
Lesson 1: guarantee you’ll get constructive feedback from your clients before, during and after they have taken their learning journey with you.
Lesson 2: deal with, and implement, all pieces of feedback, however good, bad or ugly they may be.
Lesson 3: improve on any teaching and learning experience (good or bad) so that you get better every time you deliver content.
Lesson 4: get the most out of the evaluation and review process as a commitment to best practise in learning.
Is getting the right feedback really that important?
No one wants to be THAT trainer. The one who is stuck in their ways, who recycles the same content over and over, who bores the socks off every group of people that comes before them to learn. We've all been there, in that classroom, thinking 'gee I'd love to give this guy some feedback but I'm assuming it will just fall on deaf ears so there's probably no point'... right?
In this course we're going to discuss how to continuously improve your content and delivery by evaluating, reviewing and reflecting. What this helps you do, is become better at delivering your content every time, as you learn and grow from the feedback that you get from your clients. Learn why Evaluation, Review and Reflection - the three key ingredients to continuously improving your content and delivery, are the keys to solid small business growth.

Your help made all the difference
Maria! I'm sooo happy with how my presentation went! The audience really engaged and interacted with me, and even came down to my stall to reconnect with me afterwards! They joined in the experiential part, and the group sharing went really well! So happy with this presentation in terms of being able to position myself and my services. THANKYOU for your help - it made ALL the difference!

Everyday: Content and Client Systems
Systems. You're either into them, or you're not. And when you're not, things start to fall into some sort of organised chaos.
Does this sound like you?
~ You have a to do list a mile long, and it never seems to get shorter no matter how much you cross off...
~ You're struggling to remember where all your clients are at, when you should be checking in to see how they're going, and if asked, you'd have no idea how many clients are leads, paying clients or clients who have finished their time with you.
~ You have oodles of ideas for articles and blog posts, you've got scrap pieces of notepaper or notebooks full of ideas, your filing system is a complete shambles, and if someone asked you to pull a workshop full of worksheets and activities out tomorrow, you'd end up close to a panic attack.
What will you learn?
You'll learn how to: stay organsied and efficient by using economical systems, programs and apps that help you manage your clients, their progress and all your content including blogs, lessons, programs and feedback mechanisms.

Systems overview for running a small educational business
I use a number of systems, apps, programs, systems and technical solutions to run my small business. There isn't a right or wrong app to choose, it's more about what works for you and your business needs. See the low cost, low fuss options I've decided to run with! COMING SOON

Client records, contracts, invoicing and lead management
The system I use, to keep it all together. I used a variety of different systems until I found one that did everything I needed. Everything is automated, I get reminders so I never forget anything, my clients are informed and I can find, at a glance, everything I need to know about where they're at. Priceless! See how I use 17 HATS to make the admin side of my business life efficient and stress free, without a PA!

Business development and project management
The system I use, to keep it all together. There are lots of project management tools on the market, but Asana is the tool I use with 4 different organisations - my business, a not-for-profit I volunteer as Vice President of, and another two corporate organisations I manage projects for. Keep tasks in order, create workflow templates, assign tasks and due dates to team members, keep track of all conversations without the head fry associated with email tennis.

Content planning for workshops, courses and libraries
If you're not using a system, it'll all get a bit out of hand. Use this 3 part template to plan, and keep organised, your content; whether they're articles that lead into opt-ins, lessons, workshops, courses or whole libraries.
